NY Worker’s Comp class code 9061 is applied to insureds that operate clubs not covered under any other class code. These include businesses, social and athletic clubs as well as fraternal societies or orders such as the Knights of Columbus. The majority of employees at these risks work indoors and include clerical office employees and employees involved in the operation of the facilities typically found in a club. They may work in dining rooms, snack and liquor bars, lounge rooms, reading rooms, card rooms, billiard rooms, bowling lanes, and swimming pools. NY Workers’ Comp class code 9061 also applies to all fraternity or sorority house employees.

Because NY Workers’ Comp class code 9061 is an NOC (not otherwise classified) code, it only applies when an insured’s operations do not fit in any other classification. Similar classifications include 9060 (Country, Golf, Fishing or Yacht Club), 8279 (Riding Club & Drivers), 9063 (Exercise Club), and 9084 (Nightclub).
