NY Workers’ Comp class code 9016 is applied to insureds engaged in the operation of amusement parks or exhibitions at a fixed location. The care, custody, and maintenance of the prmises; operation of elevators or heating, lighting, or power apparatus; and the security people, musicians, box office employees, and gate attendants are all included under NY Workers’ Comp class code 9016.
NY Workers’ Comp class code 9016 is applied to concessions renting boats in parks (not boat liveries); shooting galleries using air rifles (not firearms); archery ranges; ball or dart-throwing at targets; baseball batting ranges; miniature golf courses; golf driving ranges; public tennis courts and the maintenance of pony tracks. Permanently located arenas or stadiums where rodeos, circuses, boat shows, ice shows, automobile shows, food shows, etc.; speedways where automobile races may be held; arenas where boxing or wrestling matches may be held; and horse and dog racing tracks are also included under NY Workers’ Comp class code 9016.
NY Workers’ Comp class code 9016 does not include the operation of amusement devices, amusements, or exhibitions or other operations separately classified in the manual. Also, arenas, where other sporting events are held, are included under class code 9182, not 9016. Roller-skating rinks are also not included under NY Workers’ Comp class code 9016 but are applied to class code 9093.
