During harvest time, employees collect the vegetables picked by the farmers’ crews and bring the produce to a central location. Additional employees included under NY Workers’ Comp class code 8209 sort, grade, pack, or otherwise prepare the vegetables for transportation to market. NY Workers’ Comp class code 8209 is also applied to insureds that contract to perform vacuum tube processing of packed vegetables.
